The Great Highland Bagpipes, one of the few musical instruments that is closely identified with one people and one geographical location. The Bagpipes are rooted in the history of the Scottish Highlanders and Scotland as well as with those of Scottish decent all around the world. The articles represent the history of the bagpipes during two different time periods, pre 1745 and World War One.
This page was designed to represent the histroy of the Highland Bagpipes. The Articles were written by an amatuer historian and histroical re-enactor, by someone that has come to love the bagpipes and who wants to share his passion for this unique instrument.
